TheBuidlathon is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space for all builders. Our community thrives on mutual respect, open collaboration, and shared values rooted in the Ethereum ethos.

Our Commitment

We uphold the general web3 community’s core values of openness, collaboration, innovation, and respect. All participants — including hackers, mentors, speakers, sponsors, judges, and volunteers — are expected to follow this Code of Conduct throughout the event.

Expected Behavior

  • Be Respectful: Engage with others respectfully — online and offline. Listen actively. Embrace diversity of thought and background.
  • Be Supportive: Encourage newcomers. Share knowledge. Help teammates and fellow hackers without expectation.
  • Be Honest: Acknowledge contributions. Avoid plagiarism or presenting unoriginal work as your own.
  • Be Professional: Maintain a high standard of conduct, especially during demos, team interactions, and public communications.

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment of any kind, including offensive verbal comments, discriminatory jokes, stalking, unwanted attention, and inappropriate physical contact.
  • Disrupting sessions, talks, or the general hackathon workflow.
  • Violating privacy (e.g., sharing private conversations or photos without consent).
  • Sabotaging another team’s work or progress.

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this code, please email us confidentially at: dev@thebuidlgrid.org Our team will promptly investigate and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, removal from the event, disqualification from prizes, or further legal steps if necessary.
